The "North Devon Grand Tour" is taking place again this year, all money raised goes to charity, and was an excellent Mini run last year. Well worth a visit. You can email me at minii8@lycos.co.uk if you think it is a good idea. 15/1/02 Mini Magazine has released details of there Belgium Mini run, no date yet, but cost is 149.99 per person, which is seriously worth it if you enjoy long distance travelling in your Mini. 15/1/02 A 200BHP+ kit is now available from “Hartgeâ€ÂÂÂ, which should prove to be very interesting for performance. It can be fitted to the New Mini Cooper S. (163bhp) Nop price has yet been issued. 15/1/02 Russ Swift is going to try and break his world-record parking handbrake turn manovre, but this time in a New Mini Cooper. It is seriosly worth doing the run next year. The Italina Job is now out on DVD, priced around sixteen pound. Visit MiniWorlds website to buy one. The "Italian Job 2" movie is scheduled to come out in 2003. There are Sportspacks instead of 60`s Coopers. The "Italian Job" has raised over 90 thousand pound for NCH from the 2001 run. The Wirral-Llandudno run is that is featured on this site, has been reviewed by MiniWorld in the May edition, page 47. IMM 2002 has been set a venue, it is in Scotland at the Kinross open-air site that is known for holding the music festival each year. The dates are from the 24th too the 27th of May 2002, but the prices are a bit too high. Sammy Fisher, Irelands best Mini driver, died on the 2nd of January 2002. He rallied a yellow Mini, and came from Ramelton. Minis.i8.com would like too send there condolences too his family and friends. The Wirral-Llandudno Mini run, which was on the 13th of January 2002, will be in the April Mini World. The event was organised by Paul Stephens from Wirral Minis. Mini In The Park 2002: Date confirmed. The date for Mini In The Park 2002 has been confimed for Sunday 18th August 2002. The event is organised by MiniMag, and last year saw more than 8,500 people through the gates. Miniworlds Riviara Run has been set a date for the 4th, 5th and the 6th of May 2002. The Mini Cooper Register took 36 Minis, and 4 not very good Mini replicas along too the Lord Mayors Parade, on the 10th of November, 2001. When the parade had finished, the Minis all parked up at Kings College, London, too see the fireworks from the balcony. BMW announces price for Mini Cooper S When the Mini Cooper S goes on sale in the UK this summer it will command a price of 14,500. The 163bhp S will be the flagship model of the BMW Mini range. It will boast Sports Suspension Plus and a six-speed gearbox as standard as well the long awaited supercharger mated to the 1.6-litre four cylinder engine. As well as the supercharger and new 'box, the styling of the new car is different to the Cooper and One models. A redesigned bonnet has a large air scoop, twin tailpipes give a racy look and new bumpers and chrome fuel cap amongst other items result in a sutble, yet significant, facelift. It comes with three year unlimited mileage warranty which can be upgraded to five for an extra 100 pound. The full John Cooper Works kit including the New Cooper "S" will cost 17,999 which includes fitting by them. |
