Bingley Hall - 2003
This show was organised byt the British Mini Club. The selction of Minis was good, classic and new Minis. They where in the hall, the car-park, and an extra car-park which was`nt there the previous year. Theere where many trade-stands, and a lot of autojumble. The selection of clubs was also good, but not as many club cars on each stand. This was a good show, and thanks got to the British Mini Club.

Beaulieu - 2003
This show was organised by the Mini Cooper Register. The show was good, plenty of Minis, and many Minis in the concourse. The club stands where great, a good selection of Minis and Coopers. Mike Cooper was also there, with his Works New Mini Cooper, also judging some concourse. The Beaulieu Motor Museum was also there to visit, with a great selection of famous cars, modern and heritage, from The Mini to a Jaguar XJ220. It rained for a few minutes, but soon dried up, but didnt ruin the day. The trade stands where also out, quite a few of them, with all the usual like Huddersfield and Somerford, and autojumbles as well. Was a great show, thanks go to Mini Cooper Register for a great day out. |

SW Mini Meet 2003
This was a great Mini show, it was organised by the North Devon Mini Register, the same club who organises the excellent North Devon Grand Tour and the Lands End to John O`Groats run. This was the first ever SW Mini Meet, taking place at Atlantic Village, Bideford, Devon. It took place in a car-park, quite a big one, with all the Minis lined up in rows, and a very good display of Minis. There where some trade stalls, selling unusual bits which can be hard to find, and also a "Mini Push" which was rather strange because you had to pish a model mini as fast as you could... dont ask... Altogether, this was a good Mini show, and will undoubtably be getting better each year it is held. Thanks to NDMR for a great day out. |
MITP 2003
Mini in The Park 2003 was again held at Cornbury Park, an excellent event. There was one main field, filled with loads of great club stands, autojumble, concours, and many trade stands, including Keith Calver, Rolling Road, and a small RC car track. The weather was warm and sunny, with many people at the show. Concours was great, many new cars there and many of the usual Minis. Nearly all of the trade stands where there you would see throughout the year, with a great selection of Mini parts at great prices, and many exhausts and tyres going cheap. Club stands also had a great turnout, and there was also a section for “Feature†cars, which many readers of MiniMagazine have read about. A great day out, well worth the visit for 2004. Nice one MiniMag. |

North Devon Grand Tour 2003
This Mini run / event is down in North Devon, along the coast and through the villages. This must be THE best Mini event, with around 100 Minis camping on a field, right next to the sea, and over 300 minis taking part in the two-day event. All money raised go`s towards the South West Childrens Hospice, which is visited with the Minis on the Monday. Sunday morning started off at Bideford Park, then onto Hartland Quay for a BBQ, then to the Steam Fair to finish the day off, with another nights camping following… Monday Morning. The Grand Tour. The day started off sunny, then take the Minis down to Westward Ho seafront and to set off at 11:00am. Started off in one big line, through the towns and villages with people out to wave. Then onto Lee Abbey to squeeze all the Minis in there, and stayed there for about 30 mins, then off to the last part to park them up all over the place, have a look at the Minis and motorbikes, then to the prize-giving and trophy giveouts. Once again, an excellent weekend, probably one of the best Mini events around - well worth it for 2004. 13,000 quid was raised for the South West Childrens Hospice this year.
