Welcome to the web page on the Wirral-Llandudno Mini Run, which took place on the 13th of January 2002. Over 60 Minis attended this event, and was organised by Paul Stephens.

Tudor Rose pub car park.
We started off at the Tudor Rose car park at 10:15am and had 59 Minis all together. We then set off down the A55 in "Italian Job" style. We had 4 clubs there, Wirral Minis, North Wales Mini club, Cheshire Cats and Cheshire Plains. |

This is Rhos-on-Sea where we all stopped for photos. We had 60 Minis all pulled up at the lay-by at the prom. We all met up hear after getting split up on the motorway.

This is where we all qued up to go around the Great Orme.
We all qued up to go round the Great Orme. We were suppost too pay, but they let us go round for free. On the way up the Orme, we beeped and flashed our lights at anyone that went past. They all waved to us but by the end of the 59 Minis, there arm must have been aching like hell! |

At the top of the great Orme.
This was at the top of the Great Orme, were we had 3 lines of Minis. We only just got on top, and there where about 10 cars all waiting and looking amazed behind us. On the way back to Llandudno, we met up with a Mini 35 in Cherry Red. We were all going straight on at the roundabout, so he went round the roundabout and joined us. 60 Minis........

All at Llandudno front.
We recieved permission from the council too let us park on the sea front at Llandudno. The police came down, because they had seen 60 Minis going along the seafront on their cameras! We talked too them about Minis and they stayed for about an hour talking Minis and one had a contact they had for original sirens for a Police Mini. We all came down the sea front at Llandudno at 5mph, and also had to use our 2 indicators. When we parked up we had to put a piece of cardboard under our sumptrays in case anyone leaked oil. Minis don`t leak oil.......... |

Everyone leaving to go home...
Everyone leaving Llandudno too go home. We all went one way for a while, and then split up later, with some serius beeping and flashing of the lights. It was a great day out enjoyed by all. |
