The Tamiya 1/10 Remote Control Mini Cooper
Made by Tamiya, and first came out in 1994 with newer chassis’s / bodyshells being released ever since, this is one of the most fun Mini-like toys around. They are Front wheel drive, with a 3-block gearbox, and scale Minilights, and scale tread pattern on the tyres. These sound similar real the real thing, with only being FWD, and such small mechanics, but they are almost as fun. You can buy a full kit, totally standard for around £140, or as I have, a racing version which is capable or racing against the 4WD Racing RC cars at yyour local RC Car club, for around £400. With the right settings and motor, these can reach in excess of 40mph, a scale speed of 400mph! Well worth getting one, usually they are in the car-parks at Mini shows, great fun.
